SINOPSIS

Robert Neville es un científico brillante, pero incluso él no podrá contener el terrible virus que resulta ser imparable, incurable... y creado por el hombre. De alguna forma, inmune, Neville es ahora el único ser humano superviviente en lo que queda de la ciudad de Nueva York... y quizás en el mundo entero. Pero no está solo. Está rodeado por "los infectados" - victimas de la plaga que se han convertido en seres depredadores, los cuales solo pueden existir en la oscuridad y devoraran o infectaran a todos y todo lo que se cruce en su camino.
Durante tres años, Neville ha pasado sus días rebuscando para encontrar comida y suministros, y enviando puntualmente mensajes por radio, desesperado por encontrar a más supervivientes que pudieran estar allí fuera. Mientras tanto, los Infectados permanecen en las sombras, vigilando los movimientos de Neville, esperando que cometa un error fatal. Quizá la última, y mejor, esperanza del ser humano, la única misión que le queda a Neville sea encontrar un modo de revertir los efectos del virus utilizando su propia sangre inmune. Pero es su sangre también lo que persiguen los "infectados", y Neville sabe que el enemigo le supera y que el tiempo se le está acabando rápidamente.
